Mark Magee Steps Into a New Regional Role with WayPoint Church Partners

We’re excited to share some wonderful news with our church family!

At their most recent quarterly meeting, WayPoint Church Partners unanimously approved the addition of Mark Magee as a Regional Catalyst for the DelMarVa Region, serving churches and leaders throughout Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia.

After faithfully serving The Crossing Church for 32 years as Senior Minister, Mark officially stepped into this role this January. In this new capacity, he will continue doing what God has clearly wired him to do—walk alongside pastors and leadership teams, offer encouragement and care, provide coaching, and help churches move toward greater health and effectiveness through strategic planning and leadership development.

Mark Isn’t Going Anywhere

We want to be very clear: Mark is not leaving The Crossing.

He will continue speaking, serving, and investing in our church family, while also extending his ministry beyond our walls through his partnership with WayPoint. This is not a departure, but an expansion of calling—one that allows Mark to serve the broader Church while remaining deeply connected to the people and place he loves.

About WayPoint Church Partners

WayPoint Church Partners exists to come alongside churches and church leaders as they navigate seasons of growth, transition, and challenge. Their mission is to help churches thrive by supporting the health of leaders, assisting with church planting and revitalization, and providing guidance for next steps in ministry.

Through this partnership, Mark will serve as a regional missionary of The Crossing—bringing decades of pastoral wisdom, leadership experience, and relational care to churches across the DelMarVa region.

A Moment of Gratitude and Prayer

We are incredibly grateful for Mark’s faithful leadership, both past and present, and proud to support him in this next chapter. We also celebrate his wife, Angel, whose partnership and support have been a steady gift throughout Mark’s ministry.

Please join us in praying for Mark, for the pastors and churches he will serve, and for the work God will continue to do through WayPoint Church Partners in our region.
