Serve Like Jesus

“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve.” — Mark 10:45

Why Ministry Teams?

“Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body.”- 1 Corinthians 12:12-13

At The Crossing, we believe every gift matters. When you join a Ministry Team, your unique talent plugs into the larger body of Christ—lifting, serving, and loving alongside others. Together, many parts become one devoted community, helping develop devoted followers of Jesus.

Frequently Asked Questions

No experience is needed for most roles—just a willing heart and a teachable spirit. Training is provided for every position. If you’re interested in the Worship Team, we do ask for some existing proficiency in singing or playing an instrument.

We ask that anyone interested in serving first attend our Starting Point class and let us know, “I’m In!” Starting Point helps you learn who we are, what we believe, and where you can plug in. It’s offered quarterly, and we encourage you to take it as your next step if you haven’t already. Serving flows best when you’re connected to the mission—and that starts here.

Most teams use a rotating schedule to give everyone a chance to both serve and rest throughout the month. Just keep your team leader informed about your availability and any schedule conflicts—they’ll work with you!

Yes—a background check is required for all Crossing Kids, Crossing Students, Guardians, Worship, and some Digital Discipleship roles. We cover the cost and handle the paperwork. Reach out to your team leader if you have any questions.
