The Crossing Missions Update: Partnering With The Paynes | Spreading the Gospel in Japan

We are thrilled to partner with Lydia and William Payne as they embark on their journey to serve with Mustard Seed Network in Japan. Japan is one of the most unreached nations, with less than 1% of the population identifying as Christian and 95% having never read the Bible or experienced church. Mustard Seed Network is working to plant gospel-centered churches in Japan’s largest cities, and the Paynes are excited to join this vital mission.

After moving to Japan in early 2025, Lydia and William will spend their first year in Hiroshima, attending language school to communicate the gospel effectively in Japanese. From there, they will transition to Fukuoka to join a team planting a church from the ground up. Their commitment is for five years, with hopes of serving even longer as God leads.
