3 Ways To Give

Courageous + Consistent + Creative = BUILD Total
Add all three gifts up to reflect your total 25-month commitment to BUILD.

Courageously

Plan to give your kickoff gift, the largest check you’ve ever written to “The Crossing” on Commitment Sunday, November 23, 2025.

Consistently

Over the next 25 months, give consistently above and beyond your normal giving.

Creatively

See if there are other ways that you can give through non-cash gifts such as stocks, cars, property, collections, fundraisers, etc.

BUILD Campaign Update

With grateful hearts, we celebrate what God is doing through His people:
 • Total pledged (2 years): $3,383,569.00
 • Total given to date (December 2025): 730,276.78

These numbers are more than dollars—they reflect faithful obedience, surrendered hearts, and a church saying yes to God’s call.

Be a part of what God's doing

Every step of obedience matters. Every gift—large or small—helps create space for the Kingdom to grow.

Frequently Asked Questions

Estimated Building Costs are around $12 million. Our final scope will depend on what God provides through this campaign and how our church responds in faith.

BUILD is a 25-month capital campaign to expand and enhance our church facilities—creating more space for worship, discipleship, and community. As Sussex County grows, so must our capacity to welcome and develop devoted followers of Jesus.

We’re asking every person who calls The Crossing home to engage in four vital ways:
  • Pray First: Cover the BUILD campaign in prayer. Ask God for wisdom, unity, and generosity across our church—and ask how He is calling you to contribute.
  • Give Courageously: Prepare to give sacrificially. We’re inviting you to write the largest check you’ve ever written on Commitment Sunday (Nov. 23, 2025).
  • Give Consistently: Choose a giving rhythm—weekly, monthly, or quarterly—through December 2027, above your regular tithing.
  • Give Creatively: Consider non-cash gifts like real estate, vehicles, stock, or creative fundraisers like yard sales, bake sales, and more. t your text
Start with prayer, not pressure. Ask God what He’s calling you to do—and then trust Him to lead you.
We’re not asking for equal gifts, but for equal sacrifice. Every person’s gift matters. Our goal is 100% participation from those who call The Crossing home.
One helpful way to think about your commitment is this:
  • 80% — What you can reasonably give above your regular giving, then add
  • 20% — A faith commitment—an amount that only God can make possible
This is a faith commitment with a financial application.  We believe that when we step out in faith, God always shows up. God always shows up.

Giving can be a challenge, and may even seem impossible at first. However, with prayer, creativity, and sacrifice, giving to BUILD is possible for everyone. You may be able to use some of the following ideas to help you think creatively about giving to BUILD.
Make Small Changes
Eating out less often or drinking water instead of soda- small changes can produce big results. Set the money aside you would have given towards that to BUILD.
Review Current Priorities
Postponing a planned expense like a new car, home remodel, or expensive vacation- or choosing to rearrange priorities and give up something in your current budget, such as a streaming service or subscription.
Redirect Present Expenditures
Once a short-term expense has ended, such as a loan, car payment, or credit card bill, redirect this new cash flow to BUILD.
Increase Giving with Increased Income
Sometimes we know of bonuses, raises, or other events in our lives that will increase our cash flow in the next 25 months. Families can decide to delay increasing their lifestyle for a short period in order to give to BUILD.
Donate Assets
There are some incredible tax advantages to giving appreciated assets such as stocks, bonds, or real estate.
