Essential #4: Follow The Leader

In the final message of our Essentials series, Student Minister Austin Garrett unpacks what it truly means to follow Jesus.

Many people are fans of Jesus—they know His name, attend church, and even cheer from the sidelines—but Jesus calls us to be more than fans. He calls us to be followers. In Mark 8:34, He says, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.”

Following Jesus means making three bold commitments:
✅ I will follow Jesus wherever He leads.
✅ I will follow Jesus whenever He calls.
✅ I will follow Jesus whatever it costs.

This message challenges us to move beyond surface-level faith and embrace full obedience, surrender, and devotion to Christ. Because following Jesus may cost us something, but it leads to abundant life that is worth everything.
